The terms for using Scroll With God.
These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the Scroll With God website and app provided by We Are Earthlings LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
1. The service
Scroll With God offers Bible reading, discovery, study material, prayer, saved content, and related features. Availability may differ by device, app version, region, and subscription. We may update the service, correct errors, or change features, subject to applicable law and any paid commitments.
Scripture is distinct from our editorial explanations, reflections, and prayers. Study material reflects interpretation and is not a substitute for reading the surrounding passage or seeking trusted spiritual guidance. The service does not provide medical, mental-health, legal, or other professional advice and is not an emergency service.
2. Eligibility and responsible use
You must be at least 13 to use the service. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, a parent or guardian must review these terms and authorize your use and purchases. You must comply with applicable laws and your app store’s requirements.
Do not misuse the service, interfere with its security or operation, attempt unauthorized access, infringe others’ rights, distribute malicious software, or copy or redistribute protected content beyond permission granted by law or the relevant rights holder.
3. License and content ownership
Subject to these terms and applicable store terms, you may use the service for personal, noncommercial reading and reflection. We and our licensors retain rights in the software, design, brand, original content, and other protected material. Bible translations and third-party materials remain subject to their respective notices and permissions. These terms do not restrict rights you independently have in public-domain or openly licensed material.
For iOS app licenses, Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies unless an applicable custom EULA is provided through the App Store. These website and service terms supplement, and do not replace, applicable app-store license terms.
4. Your writing and saved content
You retain ownership of your original prayers, reflections, and other writing. Storing it locally in the app does not transfer ownership to us. If you choose to send content to support, you authorize us to process it as needed to address your request, as described in our Privacy Policy.
The app does not provide a Scroll With God account or its own cloud backup. Export content you want to keep before resetting data, deleting the app, or changing devices. Restoring a purchase does not restore local reading history or writing.
5. Paid features, trials, and subscriptions
The price, billing period, included features, and any trial or introductory offer are shown before you confirm a purchase. The store’s purchase confirmation controls if a website example differs. Taxes, eligibility, and regional pricing may vary.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled according to your store’s rules before renewal. If you accept a trial that converts to a subscription, the disclosed price applies when the trial ends unless you cancel in time. Manage or cancel through the Apple or Google account used for purchase. Removing the app or resetting data does not cancel billing.
Use Restore purchases with the original store account to restore eligible access. Refunds are handled under the relevant store’s policies and applicable law. We do not promise refunds beyond those rights or policies. We will provide notice of price changes where required by law or the platform.
6. Third-party services and links
The service may link to outside resources or use platform, purchase, hosting, and media providers. Those services have their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party content we do not control. A link does not imply endorsement.
7. Availability and disclaimers
We aim to provide a useful, reliable experience, but cannot promise uninterrupted access, error-free content, compatibility with every device, or a particular spiritual or personal outcome. To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties beyond those that cannot lawfully be excluded.
8. Responsibility and limits
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, or losses resulting from events outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence, or other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, or limits statutory consumer remedies.
9. Ending use
You may stop using the service at any time. Cancel any subscription separately through your store. We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address unlawful use, security threats, or material violations of these terms, subject to applicable law. Provisions that by their nature should continue will survive termination.
10. Law and resolving concerns
California law governs these terms to the extent permitted, without displacing mandatory protections available where you live. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve concerns informally. Nothing here requires binding arbitration, waives class-action rights, or removes any court or regulator access provided by applicable law.
11. Updates and contact
We may revise these terms and will update the effective date. Material changes will receive notice where required. Changes do not retroactively remove rights that have already accrued.
